at least two teeth with ST = 4mm in at least four quadrants
generalized periodontitis > Stage I
Patient's consent to student treatment as part of the anti-infective therapy phase.
Systemic diseases that require antibiotic prophylaxis due to systemic bacteremia during subgingival instrumentation (e.g. patients currently undergoing chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy, endocarditis, six months after surgery with artificial joints, transplant patients).
Less than two teeth with ST = 4mm in at least four quadrants.
Patient is younger than 18 or older than 80 years of age
Lack of patient's consent to student treatment during the anti-infective therapy phase
Respiratory diseases (bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, COPD)
Acute infections
Pregnancy
Allergies to erythritol or chlorhexidine
