Inclusion Criteria
1. ASA I -II
2. BMI < 35
3. Patient ability to understand the use of a Patient Controlled Analgesic (PCA) machine and Visual Analogue Scoring (VAS) scoring prior to operation.
Exclusion Criteria
1. Chronic pain patient
2. History of chronic use of opiod in the past
3. Complicated appendicectomy which is perforated or required to convert to laparotomy
4. Appendicectomy lasting more than 3 hours.
