Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Age \> 18 years of age
- •American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I\-III
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients requiring inotropes
- •Patients allergic to dexmedetomidine or propofol
- •Patients with bradycardia(baseline heart rate \< 60 beats/min) or uncontrolled hypertension
- •Patients who could not be extubated within 24 hours
