1.New onset of fever ( >100.4°F) with or without leukopenia (<=4000 WBC/mm3) or leukocytosis (>=12,000 WBC/mm3)
2.New onset of purulent sputum/change in character of sputum/increased respiratory secretions and/or worsening gas exchange
3.Radiological (Chest X-ray or CT Chest) evidence of consolidation.
4.Being on invasive mechanical ventilation anytime within past 48-hours.
1.Patients <18 years of age
2.Pregnant ladies
3.Refusal of consent
4.Patient already on intravenous polypeptide antibiotics for some other indication or requiring intravenous polypeptide administration for suspicion of other nosocomial infections
5.Known hypersensitivity to Colistin.
