1. Hospital admission at the pediatric department of the Filderklinik.
2. Diagnosis of bronchiolitis. Diagnosis is clinical, based on the combination of respiratory distress (such as tachypnea, grunting, nasal flaring, retractions) and fine crackles sometimes accompanied by wheezing on auscultation.
3. Written parental consent to participate in the study.
1. Critically ill infants who have an immediate need for intensive care admission.
2. Insufficient German language skills of the parents to understand the written patient information.
