Inclusion Criteria

ASA grade I and II posted for TKA

Age group 40 â?? 70yrs

No known hypersensitivity to Tranexamic acid

No history of coagulation disorders

Exclusion Criteria

Patient refusal

Bleeding disorders

Preoperative haemoglobin less than 9mg/dL

Preoperative blood or blood product transfusion

Known allergy to tranexamic acid

Primary Outcome Measures

reducing bleeding and transfusions in total knee arthroplastyTimepoint: Every 5 minutes for the first half an hour. Half an hourly till 6 hours post first injection.
