1.The exposed group includes individuals treated with metformin mono therapy or combination of metformin with other anti-diabetic drugs for minimum two years.
2.The non-exposed group includes individuals treated with other anti-diabetic drugs except for metformin for minimum two years.
3.Patients must be on stable anti-diabetic therapy for minimum 2 years.
4.Age criteria - between 18 to 59 years with stable medical condition in the past year and regular clinical follow up.
1.Subjects will be excluded if they had Dementia, Parkinson’s disease, severe depression, neurological disorders or could not complete the study procedure.
2.Breast feeding and pregnant women will be excluded.
3.Patients diagnosed with type 1 diabetes will be excluded.
