Inclusion Criteria

- •?Either sex.
- •?American society of anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status class I or II.
- •?Patients scheduled for elective upper abdominal surgery under general anesthesia.
Exclusion Criteria
- •?Patient refusal
- •?Emergent and urgent operations.
- •?History of allergy to any drugs of the study.
- •?Coagulation disorder.
- •?Infection at puncture site.
- •?Pregnancy.
- •?Chronic treatment with opioids or NSAIDS.
- •?Uncooperative patients.
