Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients from the Orthognathic Surgery Outpatient Clinic of the State University of Maringá (UEM) who underwent orthognathic surgery of the jaws between 2022 and 2023 (patients who were already going to undergo the surgery, regardless of our research) that we were able to follow up with at least , 3 months postoperatively; patients of both sexes; aged between 18 and 60 years; with or without a previous diagnosis of Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Hypopnea Syndrome (OSAS)
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patients using continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP); patients using an intraoral appliance for obstructive sleep apnea; patients with craniofacial syndromes; patients with clinical conditions of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypothermia, vasoconstriction, hypovolemia, peripheral vascular disease and anemia; patients with a previous history of orthognathic surgery or any other type of airway surgery; patients who underwent some type of additional treatment for Obstructive Sleep Apnea and Hypopnea Syndrome (OSAS) between the evaluated periods; patients who made continuous use of medications such as: sleep inducers, sedatives, muscle relaxants and anxiolytics
