- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
At the end of the third phase of the SIMBA study, a report will be delivered

that provides insight into the feasibility and usability of the SIMBA app.

Based on this report, the app will be optimized and there will be a follow-up

study that will examine the app for effectiveness and ultimately implementation.

The feasibility will be assessed on the basis of semi-structured interviews

with both care providers and children with asthma (and their parents) during

and at the end of the intervention period.

The usability will be checked by the individual scores for the technological

acceptance and system use of the app (System Usability Scale [SUS]). The SUS

offers a fast, reliable tool for measuring usability.

- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method
Success factors will be assessed by studying changes in physical activity

(patterns and level). In addition, we will study the estimated exercise

capacity of the 6-min walking test, the changes in joy of exercise and the

self-image related to exercise.
