- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To determine dextrose is an effective analgesic during NG Tube insertion reducing pain scoring (analysed using PIPP) and during of cry.Timepoint: PIPP score was evaluated immediately after the end of the intervention. This was used as a pain measuring modality. <br/ ><br>Duration of cry was recorded from the end of intervention to the end of cry.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To determine whether dextrose can reduce the change in heart rate and oxygen saturation after NG tube insertionTimepoint: Will be measured from the start of the intervention to 60 seconds after the end of the intervention. The minimum sPO2 and the maximum heart rate will be recorded and compared to the baseline value measured at rest.
