18 years of age and above
Newly diagnosed cases with symptomatic MGD mild to moderate(Stage 2 and 3)
Meibomian gland area loss: nil to medium dropout on visual inspection of images analyzed by Lipiscan.
Lipid layer thickness less than 100nm seen on Lipiview II.
Providing written Informed Consent for Treatment
Patients having other ocular surface disorder e.g. steven johnson syndrome, ocular pemphigoid, chemical injury, limbal stem cell deficiency etc. (Plus disease)
Patients undergoing any current treatment for MGD/ dry eye
Patients with history of any ocular surgery in previous 3 months.
Ocular injury within prior 3 months
Ocular herpes of eye/eyelid within prior 3 months
Active ocular infection
Active ocular inflammation or history of chronic, recurrent ocular inflammation within prior 3 months
Eyelid abnormalities that affect lid function
