Inclusion Criteria
1-patients posted for elective laparoscopic hysterectomy under general anaesthesia
2-ASA physical status 1 and 2
3-non-diabetic
Exclusion Criteria
1-patient refusal
2-history of allergy to the study drug
3-pregnancy
4-renal/hepatic disease
5-immunocompromised patients
6-patients on steroids therapy
7-duration of anaesthesia more than 4hours
8-history of peptic ulcer disease
