Inclusion Criteria
Children aged 6 months to 18 years with untreated or newly diagnosed IDA.
Mild to moderate anemia
Exclusion Criteria
Clinically on the basis of hemogram other causes of anemia apart from IDA.
Children with severe anemia.
Children on hematinics supplementing with past 3 months of recruitments.
Children with poor compliance from both arms.

Name Time Method improvement in complete blood count parameter ,mainly rise in hemoglobin after initiation of iron therapy in both daily regime and alternate day regimeTimepoint: Complete blood count is done at end of 4th week and 8 week to check rise in hemoglobin and other blood indices in both daily and alternate day regimen. iron therapy will be continued for 3 months as per the treatment protocol
