Inclusion Criteria

1.Pateints posted for elective infraumbilical surgery requiring epidural block

2.18 years to 65 years of age

3.ASA Grade 1 and 2

4.BMI less than or equals to 30

Exclusion Criteria

1.Pregnant patients

2.Patients with anticipated difficult epidural insertion such as spine deformity,previous spine surgery etc.

3)Infection at site of epidural insertion

4)History of allergy to local anaesthetic agent

5)Coagulopathy
