简要总结

This study aims to evaluate the effect of early vestibular rehabilitation and balance training on functional balance, gait, and activities of daily living in patients post Cerebellopontine Angle (CPA) tumor resection. A total of 40 patients (aged 20–60 years) will be included, divided equally into a conventional group (balance training only) and an interventional group (balance + vestibular rehabilitation). Inclusion criteria include a MoCA score of 18–30 and Motion Sensitivity Quotient (MSQ) score of 11–100%. Participants will undergo 2 weeks of supervised inpatient therapy (5 days/week) followed by 4 weeks of structured outpatient therapy (once a week). Outcome measures include the Motion Sensitivity Test, Functional Gait Assessment, and the Vestibular Activities of Daily Living (VADL) scale. The conventional group will receive only balance training, focusing on static sitting and standing tasks during inpatient rehab and progressing to dynamic balance, gait training, and obstacle navigation during outpatient sessions. The interventional group will receive both vestibular and balance training. Inpatient vestibular rehab will emphasize seated cervical and trunk movements with horizontal-vertical eye-head coordination. Outpatient vestibular rehab will include dynamic standing tasks, gait stabilization, and visual-vestibular integration exercises.

结局指标

主要结局

Motion sensitivity will be assessed using Motion Sensitivity Scale.

时间窗: Motion Sensitivity Scale, Functional Gait Assessment (FGA) Scale. Vestibular Activities of Daily Living (VADL) Scale. All the three scale will be assessed at Day 0 of week 1 , end of the inpatient rehabilitation at end of 2 weeks and at the end of the outpatient rehabilitation at the end of 6 weeks.

Gait and Balance parameters will be assessed using the Functional Gait Assessment (FGA) Scale.

All the three scale will be assessed at Day 0 of week 1 , end of the inpatient rehabilitation at end of 2 weeks and at the end of the outpatient rehabilitation at the end of 6 weeks.

ADL parameters will be assessed using the Vestibular Activities of Daily Living (VADL) Scale.
