Patients who have had prosthetic treatment with implants and fixed superstructures (crowns and bridges) for at least 3 years and who have regularly participated in the 3-6 month recall programme of the Department of Orofacial Prosthetics and Functional Sciences at the Medical Centre for Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Medicine in Marburg.
Systemic diseases (e.g. cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, osteoporosis), untreated caries, pregnancy, current orthodontic treatment, abstinence from drugs and alcohol, regular medication, mental illness, smokers.
