Inclusion Criteria
Adult (18-65) patients at risk for persistent MUPS will be identified and empanelled by analysis of their extracted EMRs with a validated selection method that has been developed with data mining techniques.
Exclusion Criteria
current or previous malignancies in the last 5 years, current or previous pregnancy in the last year and also some chronic neurological conditions

Name Time Method The proportion of the patients at risk for persistent MUPS that are referred for a mental health care intervention, which stands for embarking on a (secondary) psychosocial intervention track annex to the somatic track.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Overall contact frequency, total number and number of distinct ICPC codes suggestive of MUPS (appendix B), number of referrals to somatic care, number of prescribed medicines (special notation of antidepressants, benzodiazepines and pain medication), number of additional examinations, 4-DSQ subscale and total scores and panel (group) size and -change.
