Inclusion Criteria

All patients of corrosive esophageal strictures aged above 18 years and below 60 years

Presenting after at least 6 weeks of ingestion of corrosive substance

Having single stricture in the esophagus

Baseline Dysphagia score 1 or above

Recurrent corrosive strictures

Treatment experienced patients with prior episodes of esophageal bougie dilatation for corrosive esophageal stricture

Exclusion Criteria

Stricture within 25 cm from incisor teeth or Cricopharyngeal Stricture

Number of strictures 2 or more

Patients unable to abide by the follow up rule

Postoperative case of corrosive stricture of esophagus excluding feeding jejunostomy for gastric outlet obstruction

Patients not giving consent
