简要总结
A prospective cross-sectional study, titled " Cardiologist’s perspectives on mental health concerns in cardiac patients – A qualitative exploratory study". The study aims to explore the perspectives of cardiologists on addressing the mental health concerns of patients with cardiac illnesses. The objectives includes, to understand cardiologists’ awareness, attitudes and practices regarding the psychological needs of their patients and to explore the extent to which cardiologists integrate mental health care into their practice and the barriers they face in doing so. After seeking all the necessary study approvals, a flyer prepared with the details of the study will be shared. Once the interested participants have been identified, they will be invited to participate in the study. The participants will be explained about the study, socio-demographic clarifications will be made and informed consent will be obtained. At the convenience of the participants, the interview will be conducted using the interview guide that is being validated by the subject experts. The data will undergo thematic analysis and follow the steps delineated by Braun and Clark (2006). The significance of the study includes identifying cardiologists’ perspectives can contribute to better mental health detection, referral and management, leading to improved quality of life and treatment outcomes and understanding cardiologists’ barriers can help enhance policies that can aid in the integration of cardiac care with mental health professionals.
