Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud emphasized the unity of body and mind and considered dreams as gateways to the unconscious. In homoeopathy, dreams have been considered important since Hahnemann’s time. Repertories contain numerous dream rubrics, highlighting their significance in identifying the patient’s mental state and prescribing the simillimum. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate whether understanding dreams has relevance in homoeopathic practice.

6.2 REVIEW OF LITERATURE Dreams occur during sleep and represent a form of mental activity. The study of dreams is called oneirology. While awake, a person gathers experiences that may later manifest as conflicts in dreams. These expressions are vital for understanding a patient’s psyche.
