a patient presenting with (1) a need for at least four posterior tooth-colored restorations in permanent premolars and molars, (2) small to medium sized primary carious lesions, (3) the presence of teeth to be restored in contact with the adjacent teeth and in normal occlusion with the natural antagonist teeth, (4) symptomless and vital teeth with no signs for pulpal inflammation or pathological lesions, (5) a normal periodontal status and good oral hygiene, and (6) a good likelihood of recall availability.
(1) spontaneous pain or sensitivity to percussion, (2) partly erupted or endodontic treated teeth, (3) adverse medical history, allergies or systemic diseases, (4) pregnant or lactating females, (5) poor oral hygiene or severe periodontitis, and (6) heavy bruxism habits, fractured or visibly cracked teeth
