Fifty patients aged 40 to 70 years with an American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status I or II, who were scheduled for arthroscopic shoulder surgery under hypotensive anesthesia.
patients who underwent previous eye surgery,
had preexisting eye disease (such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, retinal detechment, cataract),
preoperative intraocular pressure (IOP) > 30 mmHg
uncontrolled hypertension,
history of hypersensitivity to anesthetics,
chronic congestive heart failure,
uncontrolled chronic obstructive lung disease,
body mass index (BMI) > 30 kg/m2
