Inclusion Criteria

patients undergoing total hip arthroplasty

Exclusion Criteria

1.contraindication to local anesthetic or study drugs
2.patients with chronic pain or chronic use of opioids (more than 2 weeks within 1-month)
3.local skin infection at the injection site
4.body mass index > 40 kg/ m2
5.history of renal impairment (CrCl < 30 mg/ml)
6. coagulopathy (platelets < 100,000/mL or INR > 1.4)
7. patients who are unable to assess pain score or unable to operate intravenous patient controlled analgesia (IV-PCA)
8. patients who have contraindications to spinal anesthesia.
