Inclusion Criteria

ICD-10 (clinician diagnosis) emotionally unstable personality disorder
Consent to participate
Ability to give consent
Sufficient comprehension of the German language

Exclusion Criteria

Schizophreniform disorder
Mania
Delusional depression
Acute action-orientied suicidality
Current addictive disorder or intoxication (other than nicotine and physician-directed amphetamines)

1. Experimental investigation of deferred gratification: diminished deferred gratification in BPD patients compared to control subjects.<br>2. Bodily Maps of Emotions: more undifferentiated bodily representation of emotions in the BMI, with an expected significant influence of traumatic experiences. <br>3. Assessment of the association between sexual arousal and dissociation: increased dissociative symptoms in sexual situations in the self-report, as well as in the experimental condition (DSS-acute) in BPD patients compared to the control group.<br>
