The effect of nutritional status of patients on the parameters of a test known as thromboelastography which will be done before the operation to predict the possibilities of excessive bleeding during and after the operation in the patients undergoing valvular heart surgery.

1. Patients willing to participate.

2. Patients with normal liver function tests(LFT).

3. Patients with normal routine coagulation tests (RCT).

4. Patients undergoing valvular heart surgeries.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Patientâ??s refusal to participate.

2. Patients with deranged routine coagulation tests (RCT).

3. Patients with deranged liver function tests (LFT).

4. Patients on anticoagulants.

5. Patients with heart failure( HF).
