Inclusion Criteria

KOA group:
1. Meet the clinical criteria of American College of Rheumatology for knee osteoarthritis;
2. Age 45-75 years old;
3. Unilateral/bilateral knee pain for more than 6 months;
4. X-ray examination within six months showed that the Kellgren-Lawrence classification was grade II or above;
5. Average pain Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) higher than 4 points within 7 days;
6. Participants voluntarily signed the informed consent.
Healthy group:
1. No knee pain in the past year;
2. Age 45-75 years old;
3. Participants voluntarily signed the informed consent.

Exclusion Criteria

1. Those with a history of knee surgery;
2. Knee pain caused by other diseases (such as joint loose bodies, severe effusion in the joint cavity, infection, malignant tumor, autoimmune disease, trauma, fracture, gout, lumbosacral disease, etc.);
3. Those with severe acute or chronic organic or psychoneurological diseases (such as epilepsy, severe anxiety/depression, etc.);
4. Those who have received acupuncture, pain relief (acetaminophen, tramadol, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, etc.) or nutritional cartilage (glucosamine, etc.) within the past 2 weeks;
5. Patients with varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, skin inflammation, allergic reactions or other factors affecting the skin temperature distribution in the lower extremities;
