Patient aged between 19-65 years of both sexes with ASA grade I-II undergoing surgery requiring internal jugular venous access will be included.
oAge <18 years,
oPatient refusal.
oNeck surgery,
oBleeding disorder,
oBody Mass Index (BMI) of >35kg/m2 for both males & females,
oInfection or phlebitis at the site of insertion,
oCongestive heart failure,
oPulmonary or tricuspid valve stenosis/regurgitation,
oPulmonary hypertension,
oSevere obstructive pulmonary disease,
oPrevious CVC insertion within 15 days,
oEmergency surgery.
