Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\) Patients with alcohol dependence syndrome according to ICD\-10 DCR
- •2\) Male patients
- •3\) Age 18\-50 years
- •4\) Can read and write English or Tamil
- •5\) No other sub\-stance dependence except Nicotine dependence
- •6\) Have completed detoxification and benzodiazepines have been stopped
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\) Acute unstable comorbid medical conditions such as Decompensated Chronic Liver Disease, Acute Kidney injury, chronic kidney disease or Congestive heart failure which will prevent assessment of patient
- •2\) Presence of neurological disorders such as Cerebrovascular accident or dementia
- •3\) Presence of intellectual impairment on clinical evaluation or on available Intelligence Quotient (IQ) test report
