Inclusion Criteria

Patient having clinical sign & symptoms of Pandu

Patients having low Hb % (WHO Criteria)

For female 8 to 11gm%

For male 8 to 13gm%

Patients having low serum Iron (Normal Range is in male 59 to 148 μg/dl and

female 37 to 145 μg/dl)

MCV less than 80 fl

Patients having low serum ferritin. (Normal Range is in male 25 to 280 ng/ml and female less than 73.3 ng/ml)

Exclusion Criteria

Patients unfit for the Virechana

Patients suffering from severe illnesses from AIDS, Cancer, Hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus & other severe diseases.

Haematological disorders like Sickle cell Anaemia, Thalassemia etc.

Pregnancy & lactating women

Patients having Hb < 8gm%.

Age below 18 years & more than 60 years.
