Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1. American Society of Anaesthesiologist Physical status class I and class II.
  • 2. Patient undergoing all upper and lower abdominal surgeries

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1. Patient refusal.
  • 2. Any spinal deformity or spinal disease
  • 3. Infection or skin disease at the site of procedure
  • 4. Any patients on anti-coagulant therapy or patients with bleeding disorder.
  • 5. Morbid obese patients or anticipated difficulty in regional anaesthsia
  • 6. Uncontrolled Systemic hypertension
  • 7. Patients with coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease.
  • 8. H/o cerebrovascular accidents.
  • 9. Patients with major kidney and liver diseases.
  • 10. Patients with allergy to any drugs used in the study.
  • 11. Patients with neurological disorders or preexisting lower limb weakness
  • 12. Patient with spinal tuberculosis.
  • 13. Patients with psychiatric illness on treatment.
  • 13. Preexisting cardiac rhythm disturbance and ECG changes
  • 14. Emergency surgeries.
  • 15. Age less than 18 years and above 65 years.
