Patients over the age of 20 who visit the Rheumatic Disease Unit, Department of Internal Medicine, Phramongkutklao Hospital with the diagnosis of gout according to 2015 ACR/EULAR Gout classification criteria, receiving at least 3 months of allopurinol, serum urate level more than 6.0 mg/dL, estimated glomerular filtration rate more than 30 mL/min/1.73m2, Compliance Questionnaire for Rheumatology (CQR) score less than 80 and able to use a smartphone with internet connection were enrolled.
Patients were excluded from the trial because they were pregnant, lacked literacy in the Thai language, and had uncontrolled co-morbidities.
