Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Age group 20\-40 yrs.
- •Subjects having CBCT\- periapical score 4 \& 5\. ( Diameter of periapical radiolucency \>4\-8 mm \& \>8mm respectively ) . This new PAI score was based on CBCT (CBCT\-PAI) and introduced in 2008 by Estrela et al.\[17]
- •Failed re\-RCT with persistent sign and symptoms of infection eg. Swelling, sinus, pus discharge etc.
- •Subjects requiring periapical root end surgery involving anterior teeth.
- •Subjects with sufficient motivation and capable of reporting back to the clinic for follow up visits.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Subjects diagnosed with diabetes mellitus or any systemic diseases which is likely to influence healing
- •Patients requiring re\-apicoectomy.
- •Smokers and alcoholics.
- •Patients with bone disorders.
- •Patients with anomalies of blood and immune system.
- •Patients with malignant tumors and/ or on cancer therapy.
- •Pregnant females.
