• Periodontally healthy individuals with at least 20 years of age
• No general medical condition which represents a contraindication to implant treatment
• Good oral hygiene (PlI = 20%)
• Healthy periodontal tissues (BOP = 20%)
• Patients with a single tooth gap (uni- or bilateral) of at least 5.9 mm in the maxilla (lateral incisor) or the mandible (central and lateral incisors)
• Finished orthodontic treatment (if applicable) at least three months ago
• Good quality and sufficient enamel of the potential abutment tooth
• Sufficient interocclusal space (overjet, overbite)
• Signed informed consent form
• Women who are pregnant or breast feeding at the day of inclusion
• Patients with untreated or ongoing periodontal disease
• Patients with Bruxism
• Known or suspected non-compliance, drug or alcohol abuse
• Inability to comply with the study procedures
• Smoking of more than 15cig/d
