Clarification effect of l-menthol sprayed onto the early gastric cancer during laser endoscopy
- Conditions
- early gastric cancer
- Registration Number
- JPRN-jRCTs021200027
- Lead Sponsor
- Hikichi Takuto
- Brief Summary
In laser endoscopic observation, the color difference between EGC and the surrounding mucosa was 5 or more in 100% of cases both before and after l-menthol application, showing no difference between the cases before and after the application. However, the color difference was significantly increased by l-menthol spraying, indicating that l-menthol was effective in clarifying early gastric cancer in the subjective evaluation by the physician.
