Inclusion Criteria
patients aged more than 60 years belonging to either sex, of ASA physical status 1 & 2, undergoing spine surgeries under general anaesthesia in any position.
Exclusion Criteria
Refusal of consent, patients with any intracranial pathology, having pre-existing severe cognitive impairment or other psychiatric disorders, alcoholic or drug abusers

Name Time Method HMSE Score & 3rd ventricle widthTimepoint: HMSE Score will be recorded night before surgery, after regaining full consciousness after surgery and 24 hours after surgery <br/ ><br>3rd ventricle width will be assessed before giving anaesthesia and after completion of surgery.

Name Time Method Perioperative complications, length of ICU and hospital stayTimepoint: All the complications occuring during after surgery, length of ICU and Hospital stay will be recorded till the discharge of patient.
