1. Age 20 - 80 years
2. Elective unilateral lung resection under general anesthesia.
3. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Class: Class 1 to 3.
4. BMI: Body Mass Index between 18.5 kg/m2 and 35 kg/m2.
5. Planed for lateral position
6. Planed for unilateral thoracic wall nerve blockade for postoperative pain control
1. Presence of hypersensitivity reactions (allergies, etc.) to local anesthetics.
2. Infection or severe inflammation in the surgical site of the operated chest.
3. Anticipated significant pleural adhesions based on imaging and clinical findings.
4. Pregnancy.
5. History of previous intrathoracic surgery.
6. Limited peripheral oxygen saturation monitoring on both 2nd or 3rd fingers.
7. Pathophysiological conditions, such as arteriovenous fistula in the upper extremities, that may affect perfusion index on both sides.
