Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1.Patients of either sex, aged 18 years and above.
  • 2.Patients who have symptoms related to constipation (criteria for functional constipation and IBS-C fulfilled for the last 3 months with symptom onset at least 6 months prior to inclusion into the study)
  • 3.Patients willing to sign the patient authorization form.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1.Pregnant or lactating women.
  • 2.Patients with intestinal obstruction (known or suspected).
  • 3.Patients with any disease with the potential to precipitate intestinal obstruction.
  • 4.Patients with acute abdomen (sudden, severe abdominal pain of unclear etiology).
