- •Presence of heart disease, obesity, diabetes, nephrotic syndrome, systemic arterial hypertension, Down syndrome, Prader-Willi syndrome, hypothyroidism, Cushing's syndrome.
- •Children and adolescents using lipid-lowering foods or medications such as corticosteroids, estrogens, progesterone, beta-blockers, and thiazides.
