More graduates opting to work as doctors in rural areas | Increasing interest in rural practice during the project period. <br><br>Measurement times: <br>t1a/t1b - before/after implementation of the 1st block (2022)<br>t2a/t2b - before/after implementation of the 2nd block (2023)<br>t3a/t3b - before/after realisation of the 3rd block (2024)<br>t4a/t4b - before/after realisation of the 4th block (possibly 2025) <br><br>Each year, a new cohort starts with the 1st block at the three participating universities.
Secondary Outcome Measures

1) Greater involvement of rural regions and their stakeholders | Increase in the percentage of actively participating rural medical practices in all active teaching practices<br>2) Attractiveness of the new curriculum from a student perspective | Annual increase in the number of applicants for the approximately 25 places in the new curriculum<br>3) Positive evaluation of the training concept | Positive (digitally supported) questionnaire evaluation following the project semester<br>4) Better preparation for practice in rural regions | Positive self-assessment of project students compared to a sample of students outside the project; baseline adjustment at t0<br>5) Increase in medical knowledge and skills | Performance of the selected sub-cohort in the regular examinations, e.g. OSCE (objective structured clinical examination), compared to the rest of the cohort; baseline adjustment at t0 due to Physikum or other previous examinations
