Yoga is a holistic wellness tool that promotes physical and mental health, beneficial for all the age group people, which is nurtured and developed since the Vedic period.
Chandra Namaskara is a sequence that rejuvenates body and mind, by utilizing the lunar energy. It is a combination of fourteen Asanas, begins on the left side, as the left side represents the Ida nadi or the moon.
It should be done for 3 to 7 times in the late evening when the strength of moon is stronger, with empty stomach.
The lunar energy flows within Ida Nadi, which has cooling, relaxing and creative qualities. Ida is the force which is responsible for consciousness
These Asanas will help to emphasizes the link with the lunar energies set up by the preparatory visualization. Also, in Chandra Namaskara the force of each Asana is changed subtly by the repetition of Mantras related to the lunar energies
Focusing more on lifestyle issues and their relationship with functional health suggests that Chandra Namaskara can significantly promote the health of the people.
