1. All neonates admitted to the neonatal unit who were <=32 weeks gestation or having a birth weight <=1800 g at birth.
2. Neonates who were exclusively breast milkfed either expressed human breast milk or Pasteurized human donor breast milk.
3. Babies who were on full enteral feeds.
1. Neonates with congenital or chromosomal abnormalities
2. Neonate with sepsis, which was defined as positive blood culture.
3. Neonates who were kept nil per orally >= 5 consecutive days.
4. Neonates who took discharge against medical advice, during the period of study.
5. Neonates who died during the neonatal care unit stay.
6. Intra uterine growth restriction defined as those neonates with birth centile <=3rd centile as per Fentonâ??s charts.
