1.anatomical lung resection for malignant disease (lobectomy, bilobectomy, segmentectomy)
2.scheduled treatment for 1) at the Department for Thoracic Surgery at the Medical Center-University of Freiburg within 1 year after beginning of the trial
1.extended resection (including chest wall, vascular or bronchial sleeve, intrapericardial resection, resection of adjacent organs)
2.pneumonectomy
3.non-anatomic resections
4.unplanned conversion to open surgery
5.known mental disorder / psychiatric condition
6.substance abuse
7.chronic pain syndrome
8.palliative resections
