•1. Teeth without root canal fillings that are extracted due to advanced periodontal bone loss or fractures which have a hopeless prognosis.
•2. Patient with moderate to severe chronic periodontitis with no other systemic disease.
•3. Presence of deep infra-bony defect with a probing depth of >5 mm at baseline.
•4. Presence of infra-bony component of at least 3 mm as detected on the radiograph.
•5. Patients with a good level of oral hygiene with Plaque Index (PI, Loe and Sillness).

•2. Patients with systemic disease discovered on routine investigations during the study
•(such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, etc.) which could influence the outcome of the
