Inclusion Criteria

  • •Child's surgery in UKS
  • •Child age: 5\-12 years
  • •elective surgery
  • •general anesthetic
  • •Up to ASA 1\-3
  • •Language: German
  • •The child is able to follow and understand a premed story
  • •Target clinic: Homburg University Hospital, pediatric surgery, ENT surgery

Exclusion Criteria

  • •Problems of understanding on the part of the parents or the child
  • •cognitive limitations
  • •auditory problems
  • •emergency surgery
