简要总结
This randomized, parallel-group study aims to compare the effects of muscle energy technique, myofascial release, and a combination of both techniques on hamstring tightness in individuals working from home. Seventy-six participants will be randomly allocated into three groups. Group A will receive muscle energy technique along with standardized conventional therapy. Group B will receive myofascial release along with the same conventional therapy. Group C will receive a combination of muscle energy technique and myofascial release with the same conventional treatment. Interventions will be delivered three sessions per week for four weeks. Outcomes will include hamstring flexibility assessed using the Active Knee Extension test and the Sit-and-Reach test, measured at baseline, immediate post-treatment, and at four weeks. The study aims to determine which intervention approach provides superior improvement in hamstring flexibility among individuals working from home.

入选标准
- •Individuals of both genders aged between twenty five and forty years who have been working in a work from home setup for a minimum of two years are eligible for inclusion.
- •Participants should have a routine that involves sitting continuously for at least five hours per day.
- •Eligible participants must demonstrate hamstring tightness confirmed by the sit and reach test with values up to eight point eight centimetres for males and up to seventeen point five centimetres for females, and by the active knee extension test with a loss of at least twenty degrees of knee extension.
- •Participants should be willing and motivated to participate actively in the study and comply with the assigned intervention whether myofascial release or muscle energy technique.
排除标准
- •Individuals who are currently working in corporate or office based setups rather than from home will be excluded, as the study focuses specifically on home based working environments.
- •Participants with any diagnosed psychological or neurological condition will not be included.
- •Adults who already meet or exceed the World Health Organization recommended physical activity levels consisting of one hundred and fifty minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity per week or seventy five minutes of vigorous activity along with muscle strengthening activities on at least two days per week will also be excluded.
- •Individuals with any history of surgery involving the lower back or hips or any previous hamstring injury in the past years will not be considered.
- •Pregnant women will be excluded as pregnancy related changes in posture and flexibility may influence study outcomes.
