Inclusion Criteria
All adults who are able to give their consent with a few exception (see below).
Exclusion Criteria
For both groups: serious cardiac disease like coronary artery disease, myocardial infarction, cardiac insufficiency, cardiac arrhythmia, valvular heart disease, endocarditis or myocarditis.
For the F10.2 case group: duration of abstinence less than 4 weeks.

Name Time Method Systematic investigation of the interrelationship between alcohol consumption and cardiac autonomic function.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method - Verification or falsification of the presumed differences in HRV profiles between the above mentioned groups (F10.2 case/control).<br>- Further analysis of heart rate dynamics depending on the extent of alcohol consumption in the control group and the duration of abstinence in the F10.2 group.<br>- Investigation of the reversibility of the potential negative effects.
