Inclusion Criteria

Male and female subjects with the following criteria are eligible for inclusion:

1.Anterior or retropatellar kneepain in at least two of the following activities: ascending and descending stairs, hopping, and running, squatting, kneeling and prolonged sitting.

Exclusion Criteria

1.Symptoms present for less than 2 months

2.Self reported clinical evidence of other knee pathology

Primary Outcome Measures

•Running biomechanics of the knee and hip. Expressed in peak angles of external knee abduction, hip adduction and contralateral pelvicdrop measured with a motion capture system.<br /><br>•Hip strength. Expressed in KG normalized to the patients’ body composition. Measured with a hand held dynamometer.<br>
