Primary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Alteration of cell profiles evaluated in patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic periodontitis, by flow cytometry, from the finding of a change of at least 5% in the pre and post-intervention measurements.
Secondary Outcome Measures
NameTimeMethod
Alteration of systemic mediators evaluated in patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic periodontitis, using the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), from the finding of a change of at least 5% in the pre and post intervention measurements of cytokines pro and anti-inflammatory.;Alteration of systemic mediators evaluated in patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic periodontitis, using the dotenzyme immunoassay technique (dot-ELISA), from the finding of a change of at least 5% in pre- and post-intervention measurements of immunoglobulins A , G and M.;Changing the microbiological profile evaluated in patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic periodontitis, using the polymerase chain reaction (PCR), from the finding of a change of at least 5% in pre measurements and post intervention of 8 main periodontopathogens.
