Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •Pakshaghata patients\-
  • •1\. Presenting with classical signs and symptoms of pakshaghata will be selected.
  • •2\. Clinical diagnosis of ischemic stroke, confirmation by CT.
  • •3\. Aged between 30 and 80 years.
  • •4\. Patients presenting in akeshapaka avastha only will be considered.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Hemorrhagic hemiplegia.
  • •2\.Severe co\-existing, terminal diseases which may interfere with the conduct of the study. 3\. Any form of encephalitis /tuberculosis/abscess.
  • •4\. Chronicity of more than 1 month.
  • •6\. Pakshagata secondary to other causes like neoplasms.
  • •7\. Patients who have received therapy of recombinanat tissue plasminogen reactivator (rtPA).
